Just recently we had a rain storm that dumped probably 2 inches in an hour or so. I noticed later on that night that the wall facing a gutter that was overflowing is now wet in a few spots. I’ve never had this before. The wall is brick and my question is this: Should I do anything about this since it is just a little moisture or could it lead to bigger concerns?

You got the water because the gutter was overflowing during an exceptional downpoor. It was like pouring hundreds of gallons of water next to your foundation and hoping for it to not leak. You may want to make sure your dirt is graded to slope away from your house and be sure your downspouts are OPEN along with eves.
