I purchased a Maytag Neptune Top-load washer and am experiencing the same problems with mold and mildew odor as the front load washers. I’ve tried bleach, and baking soda to help . . . nothing works. This is unlike any washer I’ve ever had – the odor is terrible. I’m even getting spots on my white clothes from the mildew. There is currently a law-suit because Maytag is not covering mold and mildew issues – even those with extended warranty. Go to http://www.maytag front load settlement – to get more information. Was just wondering if any others were experiencing the same problem with their top-load maytag neptune?
