I am looking for some plastic to plastic glue that will withstand temps in excess of 150F.

I got a dash-mount GPS last winter and it worked great until the first warm day, when the adhesive for the mounting disk (~3″ diameter) softened and let loose. I’ve tried double-sided exterior carpet tape with the same results. An hour in the sun and it lets loose.

Any glue I’m aware of will plasticize about 150F, so I need something that’s a bit better than this.

I’d like it to be not too ugly in case it doesn’t hold and leave a nasty blob front and center on the dash. So that rules out things like Liquid Nails. I also have an aversion to Gorilla Glue as there would be no way to clamp it down.

You could try a 3M dealer as they make a 2-sided tape that affixes like epoxy (which you could also try) once set. I don’t know how 3M’s tape is sold and be prepared to pay through the nose for it.
