I have a light switch I took out with two black wires on one terminal and a white on the other side by itself. The switch I am replacing it has two poles on the right side and a ground on the opposite side towards the bottom. How would I hook this up?
The two Black wires under the one screw needs to change……twist them together with a short piece of Black wire and a wirenut and attach that pigtail to the switch…..
Connect the WHITE wire (it’s actually a HOT wire and should be marked black) to the other screw on the switch…….
The ground wire if available connects to the green screw on the yoke……..
