Kenmore dryer won’t stop alarm at end of cycle

I have a Sears Kenmore dryer model no 96573220, about 9 years old. When the end of cycle comes, the alarm to alert will not stop. Even with the dryer not running, shutting the door starts the alarm into its high pitched buzzing. The only way to stop it is to keep the door proped open. Is there any quick fix to this or call a repairman? THANKS
