  I live in an apartment and I am wondering if there is anything I can do, besides replacing the carpet to remove this burn!!!

  hire a pro, take a piece out of the closet, use it to repair the hole, then put something as close as possible back in the closet area.
  
  oh yea, and tell your landlord 🙂
