Please help!!! Over the winter, we decided to redo our living room. We took out all of the old paneling, put in a new ceiling, etc. Anyway, we bought primered fiber board, painted it and put it up, attaching it to the studs. We bought beautiful crown molding and stained it and installed it. It looked just beautiful!! Welllll, the fiberboard has now waffled, it is all uneven and looks terrible. We are both just sick about it. We spent quite a lot of money and now it looks like it was all for nothing. What can we do???? Can anyone help?

What kind of fiber board ?

Drywall / plaster is the industry standard residential wall surface…….

Paneling is usually installed over the drywall……

I am sorry about your problem and agree with Doug. But saying that, it appears that the ‘fiber’ board was meant for that purpose. Fiber board will do alot of expansion and contraction and that maybe the board was installed to tightly, in this case, on a hot and humid day, the board will expand causing them to buckle. Can you check with the manufacturer about the problem and see what they has to say? JMO
