We have a walled-in porch with a tin roof. I plan to insulate walls and ceiling and install drywall. The rafters are 2×6 and fully exposed so there is space for insulation. Do I install the insulation directly against the tin roof or must I install a vapor barrier of some sort? Too, would appreciate any advice as to the type insulation to use. This is in Pennsylvania where we do get snow and cold weather. All advice greatly appreciated.

If you place insulation directly to the roof metal, condensation will collect inside the insulation making it useless. Make sure there is an air gap of a few inches so air can circulate. Place a vapor barrier on the interior side of the insulation so moisture is prevented from going through the insulation to the roof material.

The Senate and House can not find a suitable health plan for the nation; they should open their own exclusive health plan booklet and start reading.
