Just wondering if someone can tell me the difference between blown in cellulose and blown in fiberglass and which one is better for an older home that has some fiberglass insulation already in attic

blown in cellulose is normally made from ground up old newspapers and treated to repel insects and prevent mold. if you already have blown in fiberglass, I would recommend that you use additional fiberglass.

you can use unfaced fiberglass bats to add additional insulation. the advantage of bats instead of the blown in, is that you get a move uniform thickness of insulation.
