Any recommendations for one of these units that go under the kitchen sink? Also, does it run on a separate 115 circuit?

What kind of unit are you looking at?
You can get a instant hot water dispenser that puts out 170 degrees F. (for instant coffee, soup or hot cocoa.) These units fit under the counter hooked up to 110 volts. ISE (In Sink Erator) makes one unit like this.

Or you can get a small hot water heater and is hooked up to 110 or 220 volts. These dispense hot water to the sink for washing dishes. One fella in our town has one and they like it ( just two in the house).

Why use one of these units? Is the kitchen sink to far away from the water heater? You could use a Grundfos comfort pump. (http://www.grundfos.com)

** Any recommendations for one of these units **

I believe ISE (In-Sink_Erator) makes the lion’s share of these units and they are just rebranded with the various manufacturer’s names (Kenmore, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, etc.).

I would suggest you go for one of the higher capacity models as they seem to be built a little better then the cheapo models. You can see various models which are available at the following link:

I believe they do but check the products installations instructions (which are usually available at the various manufacturer’s web sites) and also local electrical codes as a GFI outlet may be required in many areas.
