We have bought a new home and will be installing a sprinkling system as well as sod. My question is, do we put the top soil down first and then trench the lines or wait until the lines are trench before laying the top soil?
* Trench first, that way the top soil nor Sod will be disturbed. Don’t adjust the riser of the sprinkler heads until both top soil and sod have been installed.
* Cover the riser end with a sprinkler head or ziplock bag until the top soil and sod have been installed to prevent debris from getting into the sprinkler riser.
