I have a Hampton Bay fan in my bedroom wiered ito the wall socket. It’s been workink fine with the remote but now the remote has broken. Is there any way to by pass the wall switch which is sending power to the fan when on but without the remote I can’t even turn on the lights or fan. I would appreciate any advice. I know they sell these new remotes that come with a new sensor but I am not very good at electrical things and would rather not try that route. Any advice woul be appreciated

The easiest fix is to get a new remote. This is a Home Depot brand so they may be able to get you one. To bypass the remote is going to get you deeply involved in the fan wiring.

Yeah, I agree.. just go to home depot and get a replacement remote.. that or call the 800 number in the manual and maybe the manufacturer will send you one free of charge.
