My question is I just laid about 500 sq ft of ceramic (very porous) tile. When we started grouting we did it by the book. press in joint, wipe in arc motion.. and so and so on…. but what we later figured out when trying to clean the grout off of the porous tile it was next to imossible. Once it has dried a little, no matter how hard I scrub and how much clean water I used it did not matter, it just would come out. I did not seal the tile after laying but before grouting. ( I later foud out that this was the correct way) does anybody have any ideas on how to get the grout out of the porous tile. it has been about 18 hrs since first grouting and I know time is not on my side….. any help would be appreciated…..

Should have a grout remover made just for this purpose. Check with them first.

White distilled vinegar (this is a mild acid) wash it down with a vinegar and water solution and it should help.
