      How do you change the heating element on a Richmond gas hot water heater? I have always had plenty of hot water but now I can’t even fill up the bathtub.

      a gas water heater has NO heating element.it has a burner.

      The dip tube may need to be replaced. They’re pretty inexpensive and it’s normally an easy thing to do.
