I have a garage door opener and it is operating but the garage door will only open up about 5 inches and it will either stay open about 5 inches or it will shut. And when it shuts it is by the garage door opener closing it. There are no noises or anything. I am trying to figure out why it will not open all the way. Please let know if you have any ideas. Thanks.
It is possible that you have a failed spring that helps lift the door. Especially if it is a torsion spring, the failure isn’t always so obvious.
