I recently installed new baseboards and carpet and there is now about an inch gap between the new carpet and new baseboards…Is there a way to fix the gap without damaging either??? I love the way they look but the gap is about to kill me!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the same problem when I installed new carpet… To fix the problem you have to reinstall new baseboard that is larger in height than the one that you have on there now… the best practice is to do all your cutting and fitting if your trimwork but not install it until after you take in and paint the pieces first.

      Hope this helps you!!!!

Jaime, I’m not sure that I understand where the gap is but you might consider installing a molding called quarter round at the bottom of the base molding. Your home center should have this.
