Furnace – Blower Doesn’t Engage

I have a Day & Night 376B gas furnace (circa 1988), which works fine most of the time. However, what has been happening intermittently lately has been that the pilot and burners fire and, after about a minute when the blower doesn’t turn on, the burners shut down. Morevover, sometimes the blower comes on by itself before the pilot / burner cycle even starts.

I recently replaced the transformer. Any thoughts on what else could be causing this?

Try thinking about it this way:
IF a fan doesn’t run, it might have something to do with a switch that starts the fan.
