** When it goes into a spin cycle it makes a screaming sound. I dont know if its the belt or tranmission. **
If this is a top loading washer model, the belt *might* make such a sound but would be pretty rare. It could be from the transmission’s bearing or even possibly something caught between the tubs.
Someone will likely need to try to ascertain exactly where on the machine the sound in originating from before we can suggest a cause or course of action.
BTW. Continued use in such a condition could lead to additional damage to the machine. I would suggest you discontinue use until it can be looked into and corrected.
