I am trying to plan out our remodel and have a question about framing a non-load bearing wall. I want to frame a closet but there is a pocket door that is partially inside the wall that would be the back of the closet. Therefore, I cannot tie the right side wall of the closet into that back wall. I would bring the framing right up to the pocket door wall but could not screw the studs into the back wall without affecting the pocket door framing. Will that side wall be sturdy enough by attaching it to the ceiling joists and the floor? It will also get some strength because I will tie it into the wall that will be the front of the closet (the wall with the slider door in it). Thanks!

seen a wall that ends in the center of a room to divide the room. say between a kitchen and dining room? Sure. As long as it is well secured to top and bottom, You may want to secure it to studs on top of the pocket door frame to prevent movement. But it should be fine.
