We previously had conduit/pipe (electric, hot/cold water, and sewer) run from our house out to the back yard for a future pool house. We obtained all appropriate permits/ inspections when the lines were placed. We are now thinking about putting a premade shed on the site to house a summer toilet and shower. Before going to the township for permits etc we were wondering what sort of foundation the shed will need due to the pumbing? Will a poured concrete pad be sufficient?

      It depends where you live.

Unless you live in the deep south where there are no issues with freezing, you will be required to install a permanent foundation that extends below frost depth for your region…even if you build a slab-on-grade.
