In addition, I did not ask them to “cut” the wires, i even asked them if they were sure they werent going to hit the wires while digging, and they told me not to worry about it. THen when the uncovered the wires, the went ahead and cut them because they were in the way. Then they spliced them back together and buried them, they used electrical tape to re-wrap them. Good thing they did not pour them before we found out their jerry-rigging didn’t work. Whose responsibility is it when “they” took it upon themselves to cut the wires? Any advice you have ever given me has been the best, thanks!

And are now responsible for a proper repair.

Now, was a building permit taken out for the work being done? If so, call the building inspector immeadiately and ask for an inspection of the “repair”. It is in everyones best interest to make sure the electrical connection/repair meets code.

      Good Luck!
