I would like to cover up my old vinyl tile floor in a 13′ x 6′ kitchen. I am confused by various options available and hope I could get some helpful suggestions here. The pros and cons. I would like to install it myself..so I don’t need anything that gets real complicated and nor expensive. I’ve been watching some How to video’s on installing cork paneling, roll cork and roll tiles…each with advantages and disadvantages…if I could get the right light color for the kitchen, I seem to be leaning to the roll cork and the cork 12″ x3′ panel…One demo shows that i could put it right on my existing tile floor, no underlayment necessary. The tiles need to be ‘glued’ and the paneling just tongue and groove…I believe its called..
