Currently have southern yellow pine which is rotted and has
four layers of paint (one of them lead). We are planning
on removing the entire porch and would like suggestions.
Local lumber store suggested a mahogany and this seems reas
reasonable. Would like to stain and urethane the wood.
Any suggestions on type of stain and how many coats of
urethane? Would I urethane the bottom of the boards as
well?
