      what is the correct way to hook up wires for outlets in series? What do i do with the 2 ground wires

      * Strip about 6 inches of the cable cover to expose the 3 wires,
      * Remove 1/2 inch of insulation from each wire.
      * Get a 6 inch Black wire, A 6 inch white wire and a 6 inch copper wire.
      * Connect the 3 black wires together using a wire nut.
      * Connect the three White wires using a wire nut.
      * Connect the 3 copper wires using a wire nut.
      * This leaves you with 3 pigtail wires.
      * Connect the Black wire to the Gold screw.
      * Connect the White wire to the silver screw
      * Connect the Copper Ground wire to the Ground screw on the outlet.
      * Run the cable to the next outlet and do the same.
      * There will be only one cable at the last outlet.

      I believe you meant “multiple outlets in parallel.” Outlets in series does not work for me!
