I live in a duplex, split foyer. I have a half bath in the basement, and full on the main level. My problem is neither bathroom outlet is working. I beleive they are on the same circuit, because when you plug something like a vaccuum or hair dryer into either outlet it trips the circuit. Usually I can get the downstairs outlet to work by resetting the circuit breaker, but now that doesn’t work, and we can’t use either bathroom outlet, yikes no hair drying or curling unless you move to the bedroom. What can I do to fix this problem and would this be the receptacles or the wiring inside the walls? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Do you have a GFCI somewhy? That sounds like your problem. Most bathroom, by the NEC, requires them. It could be in your breaker box or in one of the outlets. If so press the reset button. HTH
