Does anyone know what to use to clean door hinges. I want to take them off and clean them. Thanks!

If you are wanting to remove old paint from the hinges, simply remove them and let them soak in a liquid paint stripper. The old paint will come loose very well. Most of the time all you have to do is hose off the loosened paint after it bubbles loose. Be sure to rinse them off away from plants and pets.

blue degreaser/cleaner. It’s in the area with the high pressure washers. It’s safe to use, has no bad smell, and is even reuseable! I use it to clean the garage floor and car engines, but if you put some in a bucket or plastic container and drop in the hinges they will come out the next day with the paint just falling off. Oil based paints might take another day to come off, but it will. It is also, as far as I know, harmless to copper, brass, or aluminum.
