I would like to convert our stand up shower to a bathtub/shower. My main concern is how the drain will hook up since in a shower the drain is in the middle of the enclosure. How can I pipe to that or is that drain going back under the shower enclosure?
Well, obviously you will have to replumb to have the drain connect to the tub end. Do you have access below the shower, such as a basement or crawl space? A little more information is needed before specific advise can be given.
