Can someone give me a ball park cost of what I’d have to pay a contractor to build a large kitchen island in my kitchen?
Size would be about 4″ by 6″- with an overhang for a seating area. I’d like some kind of solid surfacing for the countertop.
Could this kind of project be done for less than $1200?

Scientific Wild — guess. Without knowing what area you live, If it is a wet island, cooking top, etc. I would guess just the cabnet structures plus the solid surface would run about $3000. Materials only.

Go to the Home Depot and have them design one for you. There’s no cost to run the numbers and you get a design printout. They’ll even give you an estimate of the total installed cost…. Adios…. Jasper.
