concrete countertops

I am planning to build in the very near future. I am looking for info on concrete countertops, I saw some in a magazine and liked the looks of them. What are approximate costs, pros/cons, and who would be qualified to install them.

Last year ‘This Old House’ did a series in Tucson, AZ where they used concrete counter tops. You might want to go to their web page for info on that project.

I have done concrete countertops. Customers love the end result (have gotten many referrals), they find them to be very durable as well as decorative. They also love the fact that they can customize their own patterns and colors. No two customers will ever have the same countertops. Recently was in a home show in Providence, RI and peaked alot of interest!!!

I would like info on how to and what kind of material used for concrete countertops. I can’t find anyone willing to help. Except to tell me I can’t.
