I just purchased a used Proter Cable CF2400 to replace my CF2600 (needed more cfm). It is in excellent condition. In the process of cleaning etc. I drained the tank. There was a couple of tablespoons of pretty rusty water. The unit hadn’t been used for a few months so the rust would be common.

Question is … Is there something that I can put in the tank to clean out the remaining rust that is just setting on the sides/bottom of the tank that is not able to drain out?

      Thanks in advance,
      Don

You cannot remove the rust that is already inside the tank. The best you can do is to drain the condensation every day you use the compressor.
