I removed the popcorn texturing from the ceiling. I like to put new texturing like the new home has. Is there any suggestion????

      Thanks

Duc, my suggestion on this would be to check into having it done for you by a drywall contractor, unless you have a high volume air compressor, hopper gun, heavy-duty mixing drill & lots and lots of plastic draping and tape.

Texture work is normally quite reasonable to have professionally done, and you’ll be much happier with the results if you’re not experienced with doing it. The actual process is very quick; the preparation/cleanup time & labor is the biggest part of this job.

If you have it done, all you need worry about is to do what you can to remove small household items & maybe some excessive furniture briefly while they do the work.

Are there not any manual tools that are out there to decorate ceilings without using the professional tools? What’s the best way to stucco a ceiling by hand and what’s the best material to use?
