Ceiling Fan Wiring

Greetings-

I am trying to put back a ceiling fan for a friend. He removed it from the ceiling before I got to the scene, so I have some questions about the wiring.

From the Ceiling: Black/White
From the Fan: Black/White/Blue/Green

Would I be correct in assuming that the wiring should be as follows: Black to Black, Green to ground, White and blue from the fan to white from the ceiling? I guess I am not sure what I should be doing with the blue wire coming from the fan… It was used (it’s stripped).

Any help is appreciated.

You are correct with all the wiring.The black and blue are twisted together,unless he had a remote control which would mean the black goes to the black and blue to the blue.
