My dog chewed or scratched off about 3 1/2 inches from the carpet by the doorway, I have extra pieces of the same carpet leftover. What do I have to do to repair it myself, since regular carpet layers want to charge me $ 100.00 to $ 200.00 to do so. I imagine the job is too small so they charge a lot to get me off their backs.
If anyone could guide me, I bet I could fix the problem myself.
