Career Change

I am a twenty-six year old female looking to enter the field of home improvement and renovation. I have a great interest in this field but, no experience. What is the best way for me to get my foot in the door. Ideally, I would like to volunteer for a solid company. However, I need to work while I am making my career change. Any suggestions???????

Deirdre, you might give Habitat for Humanity a try.
It’s an organization that uses a lot of volunteer
labor to build housing for families that couldn’t
otherwise afford a house. Look in the phone book.
