      how do you fix a small burn in a formica counter top

      Most,if not all laminate manufacturers also make paste or liquid fillers for repairing damaged surfaces. I’ve used the Formica brand filler and had pretty good results. The repairs weren’t invisible but certainly not noticable. Of course solid colors patch much better than patterns. If you know the color/pattern number you can get an exact color match for Formica brand, or you can custom mix colors yourself. Rout out the damaged areas about 1/16″ deep or less, the smaller the area the better, over 1 inch diameter is really hard to strike flat and flush.
      Home Depot sells a generic version. For $5-$10 its sure worth a try.

      if it’s not truly a burn and just a scorch..you also might try one of the new ‘magic’ erasers. then follow with Ajax type cleanser with bleach. And repeat as necessary. May take some time but you have nothing to lose right? worked for me
