Broken drawer slide sockets

We have a factory built home with face front drawers. The sockets that the drawer slides go into are all breaking. I want to find something sturdy like metal drawer slide sockets but I don’t know where or what to look for. If necessary, I will replace the slides and the sockets but that seems like a waste since the drawer slides themselves are still in good shape. We have replaced the sockets with more plastic sockets and they just break again. What can I do?

I would suggest that you go to a local home supply store such as Home Depot or Lowes and look over their selection of drawer guides. Perhaps you can find some that will fit your application without alteration of your present drawers.
