My wife has a beautiful, large (5 ft tall) chimenea which was sent to us all the way form Mexico to Canada. It arrived in perfect shape and we have enjoyed it for over 3 years. This past year we had a new patio installed and as a last step the contractor moved the chimenea to a new position. Unfortunately it was set down hard and now has a crack (2.5 ft long approx 1/8 to 1/4 inch wide) running vertically. The crack runs though to the inside (visible form inside the fire chamber)

Can this be fixed? if so how? Looking forward to those cozy fires in Fall.

if you got 3-years out of a clay chiminea, you did good. we get a new one every one to two years. we use ours around once a week in the winter and can get two years if we never move it. once you start moving them they crack. they just arent built to last. we are considering a metal one this time around in hopes of getting several years out of it.
