brake job for 95 Honda

My car is in the shop at a “national” chain for a front and rear break job. Nothing fancy. These folks are saying I “have” to use ceramic pads and the bill will come to over $500. This seems excessive to me. Anyone with a point of reference out there – am I getting ripped off?

get another opinion from another mechanic. I would try smaller mom & pop type places.. then call the dealer, but they’ll always be more expensive
