      Good morning,

I hope I have the right place but I have a wiring problem I can’t solve.

My home is 15 years old and I have lived there for 5 years. When I moved

in the bathroom (all 3 bathrooms) electrical outlets went out one day. No

power. The lights and fans all worked but no outlets. I went to the

circuit breaker and flipped all the breakers on and off, also the main.

everything worked so I figured it was a switch.

Yesterday, the same thing happened again. I did the same things with no

luck. All bathroom outlets are still dead. Nothing marked on the breaker

box indicates bathroom circuits. I was told that bathrooms have a

separate circuit and a “red” reset button should be located in the box or

someplace else in the house. ( Nothing in the box ) There is a red outlet

reset in the kitchen but it’s not resetting any bathroom circuits.

Please point me in the right direction.

      (1) if the light lights still work when the outlets don’t then turn off the cb that feeds the bathroom. Turn on the lights and start flipping CB’s until the light goes out. At this point you’ve located the CB. (2) “LEAVE THE CB OFF” At the Light switch, remove the cover. Either The white wires are not tightly connected or the black wires are not tightly connected. The white wires are all tied together with a wire nut. The black wires may be tied together and one black wire goes to the light switch or you will see two black wires on one side of the switch. Check the screws for tightness. One black one may be loose. Tighten the screws on both sides of the switch while you’re there… Adios… Jasper

Thanks Jasper and Dodgeman for the tips. I will try tonight, however, where do I start?
The power outlets are out in all three (3) bathrooms. Where do I look for the loose wire? Is there an order to this type of hunt? closest to the CB or does it matter?

      thanks
