I started to install a bathroom fan in my upstairs bathroom. My plan was to vent it directly out through the attic to the roof. I measured and cut the opening in the drywall..all was going well untill i realized I cant get into that part of the attic…the bathroom attic part has no access points all walls are closed off. Now i have a hole in my ceiling and not sure what to do next…i dont really want to rip the ceiling out…..please help

      Your choices are:

-to enlarge the opening to adjacent ceiling joists so you can affix a new drywall patch then finish and paint or,

-create an opening in the sealed walls in your attic to be able to access the current opening and install your vent through the roof
