I understand that burns aren’t really an issue with baseboard heaters, but what about cuts from the aluminum fins inside the heaters. We have a busy 8-month old who has already cut himself twice on these things. Unfortunately, removing them is not an alternative and, now that we’re heading into winter, taping them is not an option either. Is there anything available to babyproof these things?

There is an adjustable baffle on every baseboard heater that can close off the fins altogether.

Simply lower the vent baffle and your problems are solved.
