I refinish antique furniture as a hobby. I have not been able to find a commercial stain that looks like mahagony. It is almost in almost opaque in appearance. anybody have any ideas?
You can create your own stain, and then adjust the pigments until you get the color you want. A full line paint store or a specialty woodworking store will have the products you need. Hope this helps.
