air conditioning not cool

We have a new house (< 2 yrs old) and today it appears that the a/c system is not cooling. It's working and blowing, but it doesn't feel cool like normal. Any ideas?

If the filter is not restricted, the blower is moving the usual amount of air, and the compressor is running, my first guess is that the system is low on Freon. If there is a sight glass at the compressor you might look and see if there are bubbles circulating in the refrigerant. If so, you need a recharge (after determining what caused the loss). This is not a DIY project for the non-HVAC initiated. Call a professional serviceman.
