I am trying to replace the light bulb in my 1961 Hotpoint wall oven, model number 10RL35-C. The bulb I took out has the following notations on it “PLC 25W 120V CHXXX 25W 120V F5D”. The X’s stand for a couple of characters (not necessarily three might just be two) that I cannot read. It is a frosted bulb that is about 3 1/4″ long. I have seen some 40W models out there that may work but just not sure.

      thanks in advance.

I am also looking for the guard that goes over the buld (it is a single strip of metal). I was just putting the broken bulb back and that fell off. just rusted/rotted through.

      The oven interior light bulb?

The parts list calls for a standard 40 watt regular base appliance bulb (see the following link). Maybe it was replaced with a different bulb at one time in the past?

I doubt you’ll find such a part for that age of product. The guard’s original part # was 311420 which was most recently replaced by GE part # WB2X5129 which is no longer listed anywhere so quite likely obsolete and all old stock of it has been exhausted.
