k2I have done all manner of DIY over the years, and I’ve found carpeting to be one of the most frustrating jobs–even with the proper equipment. I’ve also called in a pro to fix some burn marks–it took him very little time and you couldn’t even tell afterwards.
I believe a sign of “maturity” involves knowing when to call in a pro. Carpeting pros can be surprisingly affordable. You got good advice from this forum.
And please take it easy on us. Ever done volunteer work and gotten yelled at? As has been mentioned, we don’t get paid for this. And there’s a potential for anyone to join in and have some fun–enjoy life!
