ParticipantI live in a condo thats on the beach ad the sliding doors 8′ footers that need plenty of care and maintanance. I was wondering what trye of white Putty they use when they cover the countersunk holes of the mounting screws.I looks like a putty the you form and then it dries. Does anyone have a name for this stuff or any ideas?

ParticipantThis could be and I have seen it myself that the wires coming into the house from overhead were old and worn. The power company replaced them and all was OK.As stated above in the other replys it can be anywhere from the pole right down to the service box were there is a loose or bad connection(corosion).

Participantthe bracket is not holding the weight of the glass..Is there some kind of glue or bonding material that I can use between the glass and bracket.Thanks….Joe

ParticipantYou have to check all your wiring for the box in the celing and with the switch off and /on using a test light or meter.. then find out with is controled by the switch. the whit go to white in the celing the blue and the hot will control the lights and the black will be for the fans. Green of course will be your ground.

Participantreplace the Wall breaker or the GFI outlet . They have been known to go bad.

ParticipantThe stem sits in the bracket that is like a balland sockett like your arm attached to your sholder. And comes out thru the keyway Look hard and you’ll find it. you have to move the pole or mounting rod at about a 45 degree angle to remove it.

ParticipantThe instructions will tell you tht Blue is for the Lights and Black is for the Fan. So connec the black and blue to the red,unless you have some other type od switching you want to wire up.Post back with the fix.

ParticipantNo Way….Don’t wear them in the house.they will destroy even ceramic foors.
