anything if you’re trying to fix it & don’t know how,,, most boilers now have auto-fill but there’re many still working fine that don’t,,, 1 valve for fill & another for drain.

btw, boilers are never filled to capacity,,, suggest you call your hvac guy & have him stop by for a look-see – BE THERE when he is,,, you could be jeopardizing your family’s safety poking where you’re not familiar.

the problem’s that it was never constructed properly even if done according to bldg code,,, if it had been, there would be minimal chance of leaking water,,, now you’ll need to install a sub-floor water management system including gravity drain OR sump & pump (exterior door indicates/suggests you may not need a pump),,, hopefully your engineer will be familiar w/proper remedial steps.

you may stop water from running under the sweep however there’s an opening at each side of the door which cannot be blocked,,, the sweep doesn’t go UNDER the door al a your garage door, either.

that’s why there’s a curb who’s top tiles slope inward – our is 1/4″ for the 4″ curb width,,, we still get water at either side of the door at the bottom but not much

unfortunately no one makes a glass large enough to use that paul bunyan size cube anymore,,, if unsure, call an appliance repairman,,, if there’s a problem w/the icemaker, a prudent owner would also have the filter changed at the same time – good luck !

most often, those plans need a professional stamp ( arch / pro engineer ),,, they’ll calculate wind loads, uplift force, etc, & provide a materials list,,, after that, get whoever you want as long as they can read plans & git ‘er done ! ! !

we don’t add separate items for ins, ovhd, etc,,, builder’s risk insurance is another issue – be certain you KNOW how he’s defining those terms – you also need to be added as an addl insured to his policy & NO WORK STARTS til you have his ins form in YOUR hand,,, there’s more but my bride, nagzilla, calls,,, bruno will be along to finish up 😉 good luck !

as we must guarantee our work altho we have painted in on for some who sign specific exclusion contracts – they’re usually selling their homes & don’t want to fix the problem – just cover it & sell.

realize this post is made as a moderator so can’t/wouldn’t disagree the other poster has had success altho, if i had to bet, i’d come down on the side he works for them.

we excavate the exterior & waterproof w/trowelable fiber-reinforced asphalt cement,,, protect that layer w/miradrain,,, install a catch drain pipe to redirect seeping water,,, enjoy dry interior.

a general rule of thumb is NEVER apply ANY waterproofing/cementitious product on the negative side of water issues,,, so what it it stops it on the visible surface ? the water’s still there – you just can’t SEE it so you’re ignorant of what damage is occurring !
