wood bath/shower enclosure

Alright, this may sound odd but I like the look of OSB and would like to use it in my shower, I’m wondering if anyone has seen or done anytyhing of the such? My idea: multiple coats of poly for sealing and either stainless hardware to apply to studs or have a cement board backer and use construction adhesive to adhere to the concrete backer 1/4″ gaps btwn sheets caulked for expansion. Any ideas?? Any thoughts? Any help is appreciated.

Your sealing would have to be so thick that you wouldn’t be able to see the detail in the OSB. The OSB won’t be a mid or long term solution.

Instead, try concrete board with a mortar mix or a rough granite tiles…they have nearly the same texture.
