our well pump is running constantly. We have checked to make sure that no faucets or toilets are leaking or running.

The well resservoir says it is preset to 30 psi. the pump is going on at around 45 psi. it sounds as if air or water is being forced into pipes after the pump stops,

We have good pressure when using any fixtures.

We had the well point and pump replaced several years ago and this problem is not acting like what happened at that time. (low pressure, etc.)

Is the problem with the reservoir tank or the shut off mechanism that opens the valve when the reservoir tank falls below a certain pressure?

      PLEASE HELP WITH ANY ADVICE

It sounds like there may be a leaking check valve (also called a foot valve) between your pump and the reservoir tank. The check is usually located at the pump outlet, but it could be at the inlet to the reservoir inside the house. I am assuming you have a submersible pump.

      Good Luck!
