What is a “tray ceiling?”

We are adding a master bedroom on and are having a discussion whether it should be vaulted or tray.

The addition is going onto a cape on the first floor. The room being 20×30 which also includes a master bath. Any help you can give thank you

How do you paint a tray ceiling?

We have used a darker color on the “tray walls” but are unsure what to do with the underside of that part.

Do we continue the color from the tray part, do it the same color as the ceiling (white) or continue the wall color.

We have a recently completed house with tray ceiling in the living dining area. I would like molding to give a more finished look, but am undecided as to how to place the molding – for instance on the lower part of the tray or on the upper part.

What is more accepted… Painting ceiling of tray ceiling or the border of tray ceiling? the room is olive branch. Ceiling is white.
